Anna Gevorgyan's Bio

Anna Gevorgyan is born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia.

After graduating from the State Engineering University of Armenia (Engineering-Economy), she obtained her MBA degree from Armenian University of Armenia.

Anna began her career in the Big 4 accounting firms. In 2002 she joined KPMG, where she worked almost three years. During these years Anna worked in KPMG London for six months, after which she moved to Moscow, continuing her career in KPMG Moscow and Deloitte Moscow.

During her career in Big 4, Anna has been engaged in and led various audit engagements in various industries, such as banking and insurance, retail and wholesale, food and beverage productions.

In 2007, after leaving the Big 4, Anna returned to Yerevan and joined Valletta LLC, one of the biggest wholesale, retail and food services companies in Armenia, as a CFO. During 2 years she was in charge of corporate bond issue and placement and new business segment development (such as “Segafredo Zanetti” coffee house chain, etc.).

In 2010 Anna joined MLL Industries LLC (one of the biggest construction companies in Armenia) as a CFO, where she worked almost ten years. In addition to the finance, Anna was in charge of ISO 9001 certification/qualification.

In addition to her career development, Anna did her ACCA Global certification/qualification in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Glasgow and became a Fellow Member since 2008.

In 2011 and 2015, Anna became Qualified Lead ISO (ISO9001) and (ISO14001) auditor, getting her qualifications in ISOQAR London.

In 2018 Anna co-founded AICA (Angel Investor Club of Armenia), which is one of the well-known and active players in Armenian startup ecosystem. Our Club has more than twenty-five investors and during two years financed six projects.

In 2019 Anna co-founded a start-up project GOTCHA, which is a computer-vision based technology that unmasks the hidden emotions and detects the possible deception cases. The product is based on proven scientific research.

In addition to these, Anna successfully passed tests and received certificates from the Paul Ekman Group regarding the Emotion Recognition courses and FACS Coding. So, in addition to the reach experience in finance and audit, she h as an expertise in profiling and emotion recognition.
