Samson Avetian was born in Yerevan, Armenia but spent his academic and young professional years in Sweden. After having obtained a Master’s degree in Financial Management and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Gothenburg and Stockholm University respectively, Samson Avetian spent 3 years at Capgemini Consulting doing international M&A, strategy and operational efficiency projects in Capital Markets, Investment Management, Insurance and Banking.

In 2010 he moved to Boston to receive an MBA from Harvard Business School with focus on Investment management.

Samson Avetian is a frequent writer, sharing his opinions in different media outlets including EVN Report and Forbes Armenia. He is the author of the book “Armenian Economy – The Next 25 Years”. Finally, he has been advising private and public sector entities and is part-time committed to lecturing at American University of Armenia and Heratsi University.

Samson Avetian is the CEO of AICA, is a member of Harvard Club of Armenia and was the president of the latter organization in 2013 and 2017.

Samson is also the CEO of the company eqwefy, an automated investment platform that promotes small ticket investments into Armenia’s innovation startups.
